Je suis Clara Boquel, sculptrice et fondatrice de l’Atelier Boquel.

Depuis toujours, je suis fascinée par la sculpture : l’harmonie des proportions, l’équilibre des volumes, les détails minutieux et la quête de la justesse absolue. En grande partie autodidacte à mes débuts, j’ai tenu à forger mon regard et ma technique par la voie la plus noble qui soit : à l’Académie d’Art de Florence.

Afin d’être une artiste aguerrie et complète, j’ai voulu travailler sur plusieurs types de sculptures. Fascinée par la complexité de l’anatomie et le mouvement des corps, j’ai trouvé dans cet art le prolongement naturel de mon observation du vivant. Façonner la matière s’est imposé comme une évidence pour matérialiser la puissance d’une posture ou capter l’histoire d’un visage.

À travers l’argile et la plastiline, ma démarche s’inscrit dans une quête rigoureuse de réalisme et d’hyperréalisme. Profondément sensible à la fidélité du modèle et à l’âme qu’il véhicule, ce que j’aime avant tout, c’est ce dialogue tactile avec la terre : la recherche de la juste tension ou du détail précis qui insuffle soudainement la vie à une forme inerte.

L’Atelier a également vu le jour avec une volonté profonde : offrir à chacun la possibilité d’accueillir une œuvre unique. Au-delà d’habiller élégamment un espace de vie, la sculpture devient une présence intime, façonnée avec la conviction qu’une part de votre propre histoire réside dans la matière.

De l’étude intime d’un visage aux commandes d’envergure, l’Atelier Boquel est le lieu où la rigueur classique rencontre l’élégance intemporelle de la forme.

I am Clara Boquel, sculptor and founder of Atelier Boquel.

I have always been drawn to sculpture: the harmony of proportions, the balance of volumes, the minute details and the pursuit of absolute exactness. Largely self-taught at first, I chose to shape my eye and my technique by the noblest path: at the Florence Academy of Art.

To become a complete and seasoned artist, I wanted to work across several kinds of sculpture. Fascinated by the complexity of anatomy and the movement of bodies, I found in this art the natural extension of my observation of the living. Shaping matter became self-evident: to give form to the power of a posture, or to catch the history of a face.

Through clay and plastiline, my work follows a rigorous pursuit of realism and hyperrealism. Deeply attentive to the fidelity of the model and to the presence it carries, what I love above all is this tactile dialogue with the earth: the search for the right tension, or the precise detail that suddenly breathes life into an inert form.

The studio was also born of a clear intention: to offer each person the possibility of welcoming a unique work. Beyond dressing a living space with elegance, the sculpture becomes an intimate presence, shaped with the conviction that a part of your own history resides in the matter.

From the intimate study of a face to large commissions, Atelier Boquel is the place where classical rigour meets the timeless elegance of form.
